		 <title>HURRICANE IRENE DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER (DRC) TO OPEN IN BUCKS COUNTY at Neshaminy Mall, 1 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011</title>

&#60;p&#62;A federal/state Disaster Recovery Center for residents affected by Hurricane Irene will open in Bucks County on Thursday, September 22.
The Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) will be located at the Neshaminy Mall (Rte. 1 and Bristol Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020). It will open at 1 p.m. Thursday and remain open until 7 p.m. that day. On subsequent days, the DRC will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents can enter the Mall at the theater entrance at the rear of Sears. There will be signs to direct them to the DRC from there.
Various federal, state and county agencies will be on hand to provide assistance to those residents affected by Hurricane Irene. They include the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Small Business Administration (SBA), the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency, the Bucks County Health Department, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare, PennDOT, and the Pennsylvania Attorney General&#38;acirc;&#38;#128;&#38;#153;s office.
Those with insurance are asked to contact their insurance agent and file a personal claim before contacting FEMA. Additionally, anyone planning to come to a DRC should register with FEMA first, in order to maximize the efficiency of their visit.
Online registry is available at &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.disasterassistance.gov/&#34;&#62;www.disasterassistance.gov&#60;/a&#62;, or via web enabled mobile device at m.fema.gov. Residents also can register by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). When applying for assistance, applicants should have the following information available:
Social Security Number (including spouse)
Private insurance information, if available
Address and zip code of the damaged property
Directions to the damaged home or property
Daytime telephone number and current mailing address

		 <title>Federal Assistance Available for Hurricane Irene Flood Victims</title>

&#60;p&#62;Residents and business owners of New Hope Borough are eligible for Federal Disaster Assistance for damage to properties suffered between August 26th and August 30th as the result of Hurricane Irene.You can begin the disaster application process by registering online at &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.DisasterAssistance.gov/&#34;&#62;www.DisasterAssistance.gov&#60;/a&#62; or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). Disaster assistance applicants, who have a speech disability or hearing loss and use TTY, should call 1-800-462-7585 directly; for those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS), call 1-800-621-3362.
The toll-free telephone numbers are available from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (local time) Monday through Sunday until further notice. Applicants registering for aid should be prepared to provide basic information about themselves (name, permanent address, phone number), insurance coverage and any other information to help substantiate losses.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Assistance for affected individuals and families can include as required:
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Rental payments for temporary housing for those whose homes are unlivable. Initial assistance may be provided for two months for homeowners and renters. Assistance may be extended if requested after the initial period based on a review of individual applicant requirements.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Grants for home repairs and replacement of essential household items not covered by insurance to make damaged dwellings safe, sanitary and functional.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Grants to replace personal property and help meet medical, dental, funeral, transportation and other serious disaster-related needs not covered by insurance or other federal, state and charitable aid programs.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Unemployment payments up to 26 weeks from the date of the disaster declaration for workers who temporarily lost jobs because of the disaster and who do not qualify for state benefits, such as self-employed individuals.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Low-interest loans to cover residential losses not fully compensated by insurance. Loans available up to $200,000 for primary residence; $40,000 for personal property, including renter losses. Loans available up to $2 million for business property losses not fully compensated by insurance.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Loans up to $2 million for small businesses, small agricultural cooperatives and most private, non-profit organizations of all sizes that have suffered disaster-related cash flow problems and need funds for working capital to recover from the disaster's adverse economic impact. This loan in combination with a property loss loan cannot exceed a total of $2 million.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Loans up to $500,000 for farmers, ranchers and aquaculture operators to cover production and property losses, excluding primary residence.
                                                                                                                                         
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Other relief programs: Crisis counseling for those traumatized by the disaster; income tax assistance for filing casualty losses; advisory assistance for legal, veterans benefits and social security matters.

The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service of the National Weather Service predicts that the Delaware River will crest at 14.7 ft. by 2 pm, September 9th. The river is expected to drop below flood state at 13 ft. by 11 pm, September 9th.

		 <title>Flood Warning Remains in Effect for New Hope</title>

&#60;p&#62;The National Weather Service continues its Flood Warning for New Hope from September 8th through September 10th. The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service of the National Weather Service predicts that the Delaware River will crest at 16.3 ft. by 8 am, September 9th. The final extent and severity of flooding is unknown at this time.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Residents in low lying areas of the Borough between the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River are advised to evacuate at this time: make arrangements for pets; store valuables and important personal documents in watertight containers; elevate furniture or move it to a higher floor; secure residences by unplugging appliances and turning off electricity and water main valves; and lock all doors. Be sure to take essential items--medicine, special foods, personal items, baby supplies, clothing, money and valuable papers--but do not overload your vehicle. Do not return to your residence until authorized to do so by New Hope emergency management officials. Be sure to check on any neighbors who may need assistance.

&#60;p&#62;The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for New Hope from September 8th through September 10th. The Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service of the National Weather Service predicts that the Delaware River will crest at 17.3 ft. by 8 am, September 9th. The final extent and severity of flooding is unknown at this time. The river reached flood stage at 13 ft. at approximately 4:15 am this morning. 
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Residents in the area between the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River are urged to evacuate at this time:  make arrangements for pets; store valuables and important personal documents in watertight containers; elevate furniture or move it to a higher floor; secure residences by unplugging appliances and turning off electricity and water main valves; lock all doors. Be sure to take essential items--medicine, special foods, personal items, baby supplies, clothing, money and valuable papers--but do not overload your vehicle. Do not return to your residence until authorized to do so by New Hope emergency management officials. Be sure to check on any neighbors who may need assistance.

&#60;strong&#62;STATE OF EMERGENCY&#60;/strong&#62;

&#60;p&#62;Mandatory Evacuation and Curfew in Effect
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;On August 28, 2011, New Hope Borough ordered a MANDATORY EVACUATION of all residents in the Borough located between the Delaware Canal and Delaware River.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;If you require shelter, please call the Emergency Operations Center at 215-862-2692.
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;A curfew will be enforced daily from 8 pm until 7 am until further notice.
No one is permitted to be on the streets between these hours. 
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Flood Predictions for the Delaware River
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Based on the National Weather Service Predictions, U.S. Geological Survey Observations, and historical river behavior:
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;The Delaware River at New Hope will exceed flood stage by 2 pm Sunday. 
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;The river will continue to rise to a crest of approximately 17 feet by 8 am Monday, August 29th. 
&#60;/p&#62;&#60;p&#62;Updates are available by calling the Emergency Operations Center at
